Registration, Clearance & Approval

FDA REGISTERED AND NRTL (UL) CERTIFIED BEDS

We ONLY sell FDA cleared red light beds

A 10 minute session should deliver 50 Joules/CM2

Find out if the bed is FDA Registered

this is the first thing I look for when comparing red light beds - Many beds, mostly the Chinese imports, do not pass their tests and are still being sold and imported to the USA.

There are only 3 FDA cleared red light beds on the market at this time (2025)

Most FDA registered beds have thermal pads, heat sinks, and other cooling mechanisms inside the bed. Many of the newer generation red light beds do not require fans and use diodes that don't generate as much heat like the older types that weight 300 to 700+ pounds.

You will not usually see an FDA cleared red light bed that uses AlGaAs diodes. Look for aluminum gallium indium phosphate diodes, these are the best diodes that are used in red light beds and are way more expensive to make than the cheaper type. Also most FDA registered red light beds are expected to last 100,000 hours, not 50,000 hours. With better diodes you get about twice the usage out of the bed.

LEDS to avoid

Those made with silicone should be avoided. These refract most of the light back into the LED. FDA cleared ones I recommend don't have magnifying tips like some brands.

Too long of a session

If using it outside the recommended treatment window, many people experience oxidative stress. You will know when this happens. This is the best way for a clinic to lose customers. High levels of ROS can be created if using a red light bed that has not been cleared by the FDA. Once too many joules of energy are delivered to the body is when the problems happen. I know the beds that are powerful enough where 8 to 10 minutes delivers everything that is needed and what happens if going over that. Most beds are ok to use 20 to 30 minutes if they are under 60mw/cm2. Over that, this is when you need to .know what you are doing or treating.

Burned out panels can be fixed

I only promote the type that has zoned off diodes. If one panel goes bad, the mother board behind it or the diodes can be replaced without sending back the entire bed.
